Travel Info

If you need detailed information on the Islands of Hawai'i, we can find answers for you, if we don’t know the answers already.  A great source of information for the four major Islands can be found in a series of books by Andrew Doughty.  The books are titled, “O'ahu Revealed” and similar titles for the other Islands.  They are published by Wizard Publications and useful information can be found on their website www.wizardpub.com.  Perhaps the most detailed of maps on the Islands are Franko’s maps.  They can be found locally in Hawai'i as large roll-up, plastic coated maps that have detailed information on attractions, dive sites, beaches, hotels and many other interesting things that will make your trip to Hawai'i better and more interesting.  You will find detailed map information on our Island Page through Google Maps of Hawai'i.  Weather and Time information is also found under those buttons on this site.

Hawai'i’s magic is best captured through its multi-cultural people, its abundance of flowering plants, and its spectacular landscapes.  These things are captured by Hawai'i’s artists and horticultural professionals who have brought the beauty of the Islands to the American public.  The landscapes of artist Roy Gonzales Tabora are world famous creations that have brought the Island’s cliffs, trees, and ocean majesty into the homes of visitors from all over the world.  No trip to Hawai'i is complete without a visit to one of his many galleries in the Islands.  The Hawaiian native people are the subject of Kim Taylor Reese in his mono-color images.  The haunting beauty of a centuries old culture in native dress, brings alive life on the Islands in times past.  When you first arrive on the Islands, you will notice the fragrant odor that drifts on the tradewinds, especially after a rain.  Plumeria, in its hundreds of varieties, is the sent of Hawai'i that will bring back memories of your visit to Hawai’i every time you encounter it.  If you want to try growing one of the hundreds of varieties, unless you live in Hawai'i,
