Timing

The best time to book and purchase your tickets for travel to Hawai'i is as soon as you are reasonably sure of your dates of travel.  Flight schedules are available about 330 days before travel.  There are some exceptions to this.  Southwest airlines flights, within the CONUS are not available until approximately 4 months before travel.  Hotel contracts are usually signed around the first of the year for 12 months.  Contrary to popular belief, ticket prices steadily increase from the time that they become available until the flight sells out.  Airlines have a 4 or 5 tier price system for coach class seating.  The lowest class sells out first, then the next and so on until there are no more seats remaining.  A travel agent is not trying to get you to buy, by telling you that you need to hold space early, he is trying to save you money.  Experienced and attentive travel agents will always save you money.  If you plan ahead and stay in touch with us we will work hard for you and be able to put together a great trip.  My plan is always to keep your transportation costs for air and car as low as possible so that you will have more to spend on good value accommodations and interesting activities.  These are the things that you will provide good memories in the years to come.
